The Blu Emu car park is conveniently located on Ross Smith Avenue within the airport precinct. Free shuttle buses run between the car park and the T2 and T3 Domestic terminals every 15 minutes between 03:00 and 23:30 (peak) and every 20 mins between 23:30 and 03:00 (off-peak).

How do I enter and exit Blu Emu parking?
To get to Blu Emu parking, take either General Holmes Drive, or Ross Smith Avenue and follow the signs to the Blu Emu car park. If you have pre-booked, scan the QR code on your booking confirmation email at the entry gate; alternatively insert or tap the nominated credit card to activate your booking. If you drive up, just take a ticket at the gate.
To exit the car park, follow signs to the exit and insert your ticket at the gate.
Sydney Airport endeavours to run the free shuttle bus service from the Blu Emu car park to the T2 and T3 Domestic terminals every 15 minutes between 03:00 and 23:30 (peak) and every 20 mins between 23:30 and 03:00 (off-peak).
How do I amend or cancel my Blu Emu parking booking?
From 20 January 2025, Blu Emu bookings must be made and managed on https://prebook.bluemucarpark.com.au/
For bookings on bluemucarpark.com.au:
Click "Manage a booking" and follow the steps. Select options and choose to amend. Please note that when you amend your booking:
- Your existing booking will be cancelled, and a new booking will be created.
- The new booking will be charged at the full price.
- A full refund will be issued for your original booking.
For bookings on prebook.sydneyairport.com.au:
Manage or cancel your booking on the same platform. You can amend your booking to choose other parking options (e.g., P2 or P3). However, Blu Emu bookings cannot be amended for dates on or after 20 January 2025. If you still want Blu Emu, cancel your booking and rebook on bluemucarpark.com.au
Refunds and cancellations:
You can cancel or amend bookings up to 24 hours before your entry date free of charge. Cancellation confirmations will be emailed, and refunds may take 2–5 business days to appear in your account.
Please note: If you have a user account on prebook.sydneyairport.com.au, it will not transfer to prebook.bluemucarpark.com.au. You’ll need to register a new account on the new platform.

Can you park at Blu Emu for international flights?
Yes, you can park at Blu Emu for international flights, however there is no direct transfer service between Blu Emu and the International terminal. To get to the International terminal you will need to take the free shuttle service that runs between Blu Emu and the Domestic terminal (this runs 24 hours), and then hop on the transfer bus or a train from Domestic to International Airport. The trains between Domestic and International stations run from 5:00am to midnight, and the transfer buses run from 5:30am to 9:30pm.
Can I travel with prams and young children on a complimentary Blu Emu Shuttle and T-Bus?

Is the Sydney Airport car park undercover?
Blu Emu car park is open air, however there are several undercover car parks at Sydney Airport. The undercover car parks are the P2 car park and P3 car park near the Domestic terminals, and the P7 car park near the International terminal.
How much is it to park at Blu Emu Car Park?
Parking rates at Blu Emu Car Park vary based on the duration of your stay. It’s a great value parking option at Sydney Airport, ideal for Domestic travellers.

From 20 January 2025, the free 1-hour parking option and 2-3 hour parking option are only available for drive-up customers. If you book those parking options online, you will be charged the daily rate.

What are the opening and closing hours of the Blu Emu Car Park?
The Blu Emu Car Park is open 24 hours, 7 days a week, to meet all needs.
Is there a vehicle height restriction for the Blu Emu Car Park?
Yes, there is a height restriction of 3.5 meters to park in the Blu Emu Car Park.
Should I book a spot at the Blu Emu Car Park in advance?
Our online booking quotes may provide good savings off regular drive-up rates.
In order to secure a space, we do encourage you to pre-book your parking in advance, especially during peak periods (e.g. school holidays and Christmas)
Bookings must be confirmed at least 1 hour prior to car park entry at prebook.bluemucarpark.com.au
What happens if I lose my Blu Emu parking ticket?
There may be additional charges if you lose your parking ticket. For 24/7 assistance, please press the help button at the exit boom gate, and our friendly team will do their best to assist you.
If you are a pre-booked customer, please have your booking details ready for the operator. We will use reasonable endeavours to honour your online reservation.
What is the maximum amount of time I can park my car at Blu Emu for?
You can pre-book your parking online for up to 15 days at the Blu Emu.
Alternatively, you are welcome to simply ‘drive up’ for longer parking periods and pay the standard ‘drive-up’ rate to exit.
It is important to notify Sydney Airport if you intend to park longer than 60 days.
